Michael Healey brings some diversity to proceedings at Sensei’s HQ, kicking off 'Filtered Coffee'….with a badboy "Now hear this" ragga vocal snatch spread liberally over a rolling techy groove and sproingy drums, with all manner of incidental samples zinging in and out of the mix to keep things interesting, including a frogs’ ‘ribbit’ if we’re not mistaken, but then it has been a long weekend.
'System Check' takes a 'speaker system check' spoken vocal sample for a run around the block, laying it over an ominous, hypnotic jack - track to full effect.
